Philosophy

We believe young children learn best in a relaxed happy atmosphere.

We provide a loving, nurturing atmosphere which will foster learning experiences from group participation to individual creativity to the development of new skills, while guiding the child to obtain greater independence, social competence, and self-fulfillment.

Our goal is to provide your child with the tools necessary to begin their formal education in kindergarten.

Curriculum

The Journey Kids Preschool believes children learn best through creative play. Our hands on curriculum uses play with structured activities to promote the development of cognitive, motor, spiritual, and social skills. Activities allow each child to learn and grow at their own pace and in their own way by emphasizing the learning process, not just the end product. Portfolios record each child’s growth and development and demonstrate how our curriculum aligns with Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations.  

 

The Journey Kids Preschool is not a daycare, we are a preschool. Classes run from 8am to 11:30am. We have small class sizes to promote individualized learning. We will follow NACS for all school delays, cancellations, and time off for holidays. Stay up to date with our school delays and cancellations on our Facebook page.

 

Children will attend Chapel and gym class once a week. Children will also have a visit from the Library Cart weekly where they will have an opportunity to check out a book for the weekend.
