Director

I have been in the Preschool world now for 9 years! God called me to become a teacher 9 years ago and I have never looked back. God has continued to provide opportunities and placed me in the position to own and direct The Journey Kids Preschool.

I have been married for 14 years and we have 3 children, ages 12, 10, and 9. They are my world!

I strive to have a fun school where the children want to come, learn, and explore. I strongly believe in open communication and working together as a team. Children will flourish when parents, teachers, and staff all collectively work together for their growth and development.

Angela Rosalez

Inspired by the roles I’ve played in the lives of my many nieces and nephews, I am going into my 15th year as an Early Childhood Education professional. I love working hard to provide a kind, challenging, and nurturing environment to help prepare my students for school. I enjoy sharing my love of nature by incorporating animals, insects, and trees, as well as growing plants and raising butterflies. My students work hard and play hard while learning all of their Kindergarten basics. They also build a foundation for the social-emotional skills needed to work in future classrooms. I especially love watching my students grow their roots of self-confidence and resilience. I am passionate about fostering a love for learning and am proud of the confident little learners coming out of my classroom. I am blessed to have found a place at Journey Kids Preschool.

Selena Aleman

2 year old Teacher

I am entering my 3rd year of teaching for The Journey Kids Preschool! I have had the pleasure of working with many different types of children in a variety of settings. With an educational background in Recreational Therapy, I am passionate about making learning fun! I aim to make each day exciting, while providing opportunities for the children to challenge themselves and develop new skills. I also value the importance of teaching social-emotional skills, as I think it is vital that children develop these at a young age.

I believe that given the tools and resources, all children have the ability and the right to succeed and flourish in life. I will strive to foster a safe learning environment where every child feels supported in their journey. I look forward to having a wonderful school year!

I am a 2009 graduate of Southern Wells. After graduating I attended Rhema Bible Training College in Oklahoma. I graduated and received my Minister's license from BBC. I have been married to my husband for 16 years and have 3 amazing children and I stay extremely busy with their activities. My heart is for serving others. I love encouraging children to discover their God-given purpose through faith, kindness, and compassion.

Delaney King

Early PreK Teacher

I am very excited to join the Journey Kids Preschool team. I have 5 to 6 years of professional and volunteer experience working with children from infants to elementary age. I enjoy being involved with my church, scrapbooking, and cooking/baking. I can't wait to have a great school year.

I am originally from Ohio and moved to Fort Wayne in 2007. I have been married for 10 years and we have 3 beautiful children. I have been teaching them and homeschooled my middle. I am excited to take on a new role in the classrooms as a teacher! I love meeting and getting to know each child's unique personalities and how they learn. I have a lot of teaching experience from my previous careers.

I am a member of The Journey Free Methodist Church. I volunteer on Tuesdays in the Cabybaras classroom with Miss Angela.

Anjel Salyer

School Wide Aide

I am Anjel, a mom of 5 kids ranging from 13 to 1.5 years old. I have always loved being around kids, crafting and playing games. Being an aide is going to be so fun! I love The Journey Kids Preschool and am excited to be an extra hand to hold and provide extra laughter to the day for the kiddos. In my spare time, I'm playing uber to Wallen for t-ball, baseball, and softball with my own kids. We love to travel to Cedar Point and ride rollercoasters as a family if we have time outside of the ball field.

I'm Meagan! Mom of 1 sweet boy who attended The Journey Kids Preschool the last 2 years. As he moves on to kindergarten this year, I wasn't ready to leave the wonderful Journey Kids Preschool. I look forward to helping out when and where I can! I've been married to a wonderful man for 15 years and his career has taken us all over, landing us in Fort Wayne in 2024.
