I have been in the Preschool world now for 8 years! God called me to become a teacher 8 years ago and I have never looked back. God has continued to provide opportunities and placed me in the position to own and direct The Journey Kids Preschool.

I have been married for 13 years and we have 3 children, ages 11, 9, and 8. They are my world!

I strive to have a fun school where the children want to come, learn, and explore. I strongly believe in open communication and working together as a team. Children will flourish when parents, teachers, and staff all collectively work together for their growth and development.

I am excited to join the Journey Kids Preschool staff and provide a nurturing environment to help prepare your children for Kindergarten. I have over ten years of experience in daycares and preschools working with children of all backgrounds and abilities and am currently earning my degree in Early Childhood Education. With a planet-friendly approach, I will share my love of growing plants with your children as all included grow our roots of self-reliance and resilience. I am passionate about fostering a love for learning and am proud of the many avid readers and library lovers coming out of my classrooms. I look forward to growing with you all!

I am so excited to be a part of the Journey Kids team! I have had the pleasure of working with many different types of children in a variety of settings. With an educational background in Recreational Therapy, I am passionate about making learning fun! I aim to make each day exciting, while providing opportunities for the children to challenge themselves and develop new skills. I also value the importance of teaching social-emotional skills, as I think it is vital that children develop these at a young age.

I believe that given the tools and resources, all children have the ability and the right to succeed and flourish in life. I will strive to foster a safe learning environment where every child feels supported in their journey. I look forward to having a wonderful school year!

I am a 2009 graduate of Southern Wells, where I then moved to Oklahoma. I attended Rhema Bible Training College. I am a 2018 graduate of Bluffton Bible College and received my Minister's license. I am currently in school for a Youth Mental Health degree. I have been married to my husband for 15 years and have 3 children. We live on a farm and stay very busy with our animals.

Laura Rich

3 year old Teacher

I am an animal lover who has crossed over to the little's world. I love seeing the awe and curiosity of growing minds. I began working with 3 year olds, three years ago with Tassy. I left the veterinary field when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest son. Now, after adding a daughter and taking time to raise my two children I am excited to teach and inspire young minds!

2 year old Teacher

I am very excited to join the Journey Kids Preschool team. I have 5 to 6 years of professional and volunteer experience working with children from infants to elementary age. I enjoy being involved with my church, scrapbooking, and cooking/baking. I can't wait to have a great school year.

Erin Oberlin

Substitute Teacher

I am originally from Ohio and moved to Fort Wayne in 2007. I have been married for 9 years and have been a SAHM the past eight years with our 7.5 and 5.5 year old girls and 2 year old boy. I have been teaching them and homeschooled my middle. I am excited to substitute in the classrooms and look forward to having a classroom of my own when my youngest starts PreK. I love meeting and getting to know each child's unique personalities and how they learn. I have lots of teaching experience from my previous careers.
